During the fall of 2020, which will no doubt go down as one of the craziest years in history, I made the decision to venture out on my own and start a company with one goal in mind: creating a financial advisory firm that could completely customize the experience for each individual client. Everything from the Financial Plan to the individual investments, to the portfolios and the technology, and everything in between would be centered around each individual client and what works best for them. And thus, Avellie Wealth Management, LLC (Avellie) was born.
I am the father of two incredible young ladies named Avery & Ellie, and with a little play on their names, we came up with a great name for our new company: Avellie (pronounced AH-vel-ee) Wealth Management. Over the course of the next several months my girls and I spent hours together going over logos and color schemes, websites and offices and everything else that goes into starting your own business. It was real world experience that we were able to share together and one that none of us will ever forget.
The results have proved to be exactly what I set out to do, clients have been blown away, and I could not be happier with the results.

Further background:
I was born and raised in North Dakota and spent the first 18 years of my life in the Upper Midwest. After graduating from high school, I attended Arizona State University on a baseball scholarship where I immediately fell in love with the State of Arizona and have called it home ever since. My college baseball career was highlighted by an Academic All-Pac 10 selection, a consensus First Team Division 1 All American Team selection, leading all of NCAA D1 baseball in Saves in 1999 for Pepperdine University and concluded by being drafted in the First Round of the Major League Baseball draft in 1999.
I spent the next four years of my life playing minor league baseball all over the county. In 2003 I suffered a career ending arm injury and returned home to Arizona to finish my degree. I graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Global Business with a concentration in Financial Management and began my career in the financial services industry.
In 2008 I earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) Designation from the College for Financial Planning and pride myself in continuing that education with classes annually. My professional career includes extensive involvement with investments, financial planning and estate planning for executives, entrepreneurs, business retirees, and those planning for retirement.
I spend time outside of work supporting both youth soccer and softball by coaching and serving as a board member. I take pride in supporting my daughters’ public schools with classroom and extra event volunteering.
